Touchdown! What a blast photographing UW football! The lights, crowd... WOW!

FALL football is back! Great to see fans packing the stadiums, student athletes ready to compete, and the cool, crisp air of autumn rolling in. My all time favorite season! I'll be at a ton of high school and collegiate games this season, should be fun!

SO happy to have photographed the 2021 Sumner Girls Lacrosse squad! They went 8-0-1 and were league champions. It was also my daughter's senior year and so this is a bittersweet moment as my favorite subject for the past 10 years is all done. So proud of her, the players, and the coaches! I have photographed many of these kids since they just started.

The "unique" 2021 football season has ended and I am SO glad that our kids were able to get on the field to play. Captured some great images, made terrific connections with players and families, and really enjoyed every minute of the shortened season. I invested in some new gear and worked to keep the equipment I have in top working condition. Really enjoyed the PLU senior portrait shoot, TONS of fun! Looking forward to summer and fall and an emphasis on landscape and wildlife.

I absolutely LOVE the reaction when families view their photos! Attending different events, getting to know the players, and being a student of the game allows me to capture the story of your athlete.

I started as a Dad on the sidelines taking pictures of my children's lacrosse and other sports. I was asked to the the team photographer and the response was awesome. Parents and players LOVED the pictures (I was told the images were "filthy". I had to ask my daughter what that meant: it means awesome :-) and STK Photography was started. I have worked with youth through adult athletes. From 3/4 lacrosse to adult men's championships. I've captured images of boys, girls, MCLA and Division 1 programs and everything in between. My love is youth sports, especially players in elementary and middle school. The passion of youth sports rivals adults and the excitement they show makes it so much fun to capture their expressions.

I recently photographed a men's lacrosse championship. I had so many players come up afterwards and compliment the pictures. One player even told me that he never had any photos of him playing. He was almost in tears at the images of him playing the game he loves with all his heart - A grown man! That's the awesome thing about photography - capturing the passion of the player and event.
